Tata Motors

This spot over at Plot No. 126 in Nigdi has been our base for a good bit of time. Being in Sector 21 near Yamunanager makes it easy for local drivers to pull in when they’re having trouble. We deal with a lot of the heavy vehicles that move through Pune, and there’s always something to be fixed. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place where work gets done day in and day out. Sometimes the noise from the road gets loud, but you get used to it after a few months. We spend most of our time under hoods or checking tires. It’s dusty work, and our uniforms show it by the end of the shift. We’ve got a small crew here, and we all know each other's habits by now. If a truck comes in with a weird sound, someone usually knows what it is right away. We don't spend much time on paperwork unless we absolutely have to, because the real work is out on the floor. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the morning, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. It’s just the way things are here in Pune-44. We show up, we fix what’s broken, and we head home when the sun goes down. It’s not complicated, just a regular job at Tata Motors that keeps us on our feet all day long.
