Swati Vinayak Nimhan

I spend a lot of my time over at the Someshwar Sports Club on Law College Road in Pune. My name is Swati Vinayak Nimhan and being the president of the club keeps me pretty busy most days. We are located right near the Film Institute, which is a landmark most people in the area know well. It’s a good spot for a sports club because there is always something happening nearby. My days are usually filled with organizing things for the members and making sure the club grounds are being used properly. It’s not a corporate job at all; it’s more about being part of the community here in Pune. We deal with all sorts of people who just want to stay active or enjoy the facilities. The Law College Road area has a lot of energy and we try to keep that same spirit at the club. We don't have fancy brochures or anything. Mostly, people just hear about us from their friends and stop by to see what we offer. I’m usually around the office or out near the courts if someone needs to talk. It’s about keeping the sports spirit alive and making sure everyone has a place to go. We’ve been here for a while and the neighborhood feels like a big family. It’s practical work, but I enjoy seeing the club busy every single day with people playing and having fun.
