Swasamarthya Foundation

You can find Swasamarthya Foundation over in Wakad, Pune. We are in the Sapphire Park building, specifically in apartment E-705. It is on the road that goes toward the Aundh Chest Hospital, right near Wisdom World School. It is a fast-growing part of the city, so there is always some construction and noise around. We started this foundation because we wanted to do something meaningful right here in our own neighborhood. Working out of a residential complex like Park Street makes everything feel more personal to us. We are not some big faceless entity. We are just the people you see at the local shops or dropping kids off at school. Our office is just a regular room where we keep our files and meet up to discuss our projects. We do not spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signage. We would rather put that money toward the work we are doing. Sometimes we have meetings on the balcony when the weather is nice outside. It is not a corporate vibe at all. We just use simple English and talk to people like they are our neighbors, because usually, they are. Being near the hospital and the school keeps us grounded in what the community actually needs. We do not have all the answers, but we try to help out where we can. It is just a small group of us putting in the hours every day in Wakad.
