Swabhiman Seva Foundation

Our place, Swabhiman Seva Foundation, is situated over in Charholi Phata, specifically within the Shama Estate. We are in Wing A, up on the third floor in flat number 302. The full address is Sn. 152/2 in the 411041 area of Pune. It’s a bit of a drive if you aren't already on this side of town, but it is a quiet enough spot for us to get our work done without too many distractions. We have been working out of this flat for a long time now. It’s not like those big glass office buildings you see in the city center, but it serves our purpose just fine. We have our desks set up and we just get on with things. Sometimes the lift in the building is out of order, so we end up taking the stairs, which is just part of the day, I guess. Working around Chowiswadi means we see the same people every day and it feels like a real community. We don't go for a polished corporate look because that just isn't our style. We are just a local group managing the responsibilities of the foundation. There is always a lot of paperwork to go through and plenty of phone calls to return. It gets a little bit chaotic during the busy months, but we manage to stay on track. We don't have any big speeches. We just stay here in Shama Estate and do the work.
