Swa. Shivajirao Jadhav Foundation

Swa. Shivajirao Jadhav Foundation is over in Khed, specifically in Namdevnagar. We are on the ground floor of a building called Shivalaya, unit C8, 1134. It’s on Ambethan Road, which gets quite a lot of trucks passing through to the industrial areas. The foundation was named after a local figure, and we try to keep that spirit alive in a very simple way. We don't have any big slogans or glossy brochures. Our office is pretty basic, just a few tables and some chairs for when the locals stop by. It’s often quite dusty because of the road, but we keep the fans going to stay cool. We spend our time working on things that help the community around Khed. It’s a rural-turning-urban kind of place, so there’s always some confusion or need for assistance with new regulations. We’re just regular people from the area who know how things work around here. Sometimes we go out to the villages nearby to see people, but mostly we are here at Shivalaya. We don’t have any fancy technology, just the basics to get the job done. It’s a humble place, and we like it that way because it makes people feel comfortable when they come in. There’s always a pot of water for guests and a bit of time to listen to their stories. It keeps us busy.
