About Suvidha Nursery – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Pune
If you drive down toward Khondhwa, you’ll see our green nets and all the pots lined up along the road. This nursery is basically my second home because plants don't take a day off. They need water and attention every single morning. We have a lot of different types, from small indoor succulents to big trees that take two people to move. The ground is always a bit muddy because of the watering, so don't wear your nice shoes if you come to visit. We spend most of the day digging in the dirt or shifting bags of soil around. It’s quiet work, which I like. The sun in Khondhwa can be tough on the younger saplings, so we’re always moving things into the shade. We aren't experts with fancy degrees; we just know what grows well in this soil and what doesn't. Some people come in not knowing what they want, so we just walk around and look at the leaves together. It’s not a fast business. Things take time to grow. We keep a few stray cats around because they help with the birds. It’s a simple life out here among the green things. We just try to keep the plants healthy and the customers happy enough to come back for more fertilizer or a new pot. My hands are usually stained with earth by lunchtime, but I wouldn't want to be in an office. We just grow what we can.
