Sunder Furnitures

Sunder Furnitures is right on Bajirao Road in Shukrawar Peth, near the Janata Sahakari Bank. This part of Pune is old and very traditional, which fits us just fine. We have been at Sr No 1443 for many years now. The shop is usually filled with the smell of wood polish and sawdust. We make and sell furniture, so there are always half-finished chairs or tables sitting around. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze getting through the aisles sometimes. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a workshop feel where you can see the work actually being done. Bajirao Road is always congested, so we hear the honking and the street noise all day long. It’s a busy environment to work in, but we like being in the heart of the city. Most of our days are spent talking to customers who want something specific for their homes. We don't use big words or try to sell people things they don't need. We just show them what we have or tell them what we can make. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. It’s kind of nice that we’ve stayed in this same spot while the rest of the city changed so much around us. It’s just us doing what we know how to do every day of the week. We'll probably be here for a long while longer if things stay the way they are.
