Store - Asst

I work over at the store at Sr.No 47 on B.F.C Road. It’s in the Jadhav Colony area of Mundwa here in Pune. Being an assistant at a store like this means you are always moving. There are piles of stock that need to be moved and shelves that need filling. Mundwa is a busy part of the city and there is always something going on outside. The address is 36, just so you don't get lost. My days are mostly spent counting things and making sure the records match what’s on the floor. It’s not a very exciting job, but it’s important. If I lose track of one box, it throws everything off. The building is a bit older, so it has its quirks. Sometimes the lights flicker or the door sticks, but we deal with it. I’ve been here for a while now and I know where every single item is kept. The people who come by are usually in a hurry. I just try to find what they need so they can get back to their own jobs. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and carrying. By the end of the shift, I’m pretty tired. But it’s good to see the warehouse looking organized at the end of the day. It’s just a regular store in a regular part of Pune. We don't have fancy systems, just a lot of hard work and staying organized day after day.
