Star Automobiles

Star Automobiles has been sitting here on Nana Peth for a long time. This area is always packed with vehicles and people looking for parts, so it gets pretty noisy. We mostly handle spare parts for cars and some two-wheelers. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside the shop because we have shelves stacked all the way to the ceiling with boxes. Half the time, I’m the only one who knows exactly where a specific bolt or gasket is hiding. Nana Peth is the kind of place where you have to know your stuff or you’ll get lost. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just show up at 561 and ask if we have what they need. If we don’t have it today, we can usually get it by tomorrow morning. My father started this place, and I’ve been helping out since I was a kid. It’s not a glamorous job. My hands are usually greasy by ten in the morning. We talk to mechanics all day long. They’re our main crowd. Sometimes we sit and have chai while waiting for a delivery to arrive. We don’t do fancy stuff here. We just sell the parts that keep engines running. It’s a bit messy, and the traffic outside never stops, but it’s our life. We’ve been at this spot for decades and don't plan on moving anywhere else. It is just what we do and we know it well.
