Standared Motors Works

We've been here on Old Post Office Road for a while now. Most people know the spot. It's just a regular shop where we deal with motors and mechanical stuff. It gets pretty dusty inside most days. We started out small and stayed that way mostly because we like it. The name is Standared Motors Works, even if the spelling on the old sign is a bit funny. My cousin used to help out but now it's just a few of us. We spend a lot of time looking at parts and trying to figure out why things stopped running. There’s always a pile of scrap in the corner that we mean to clear out but never do. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice a day, sometimes not at all. We don't have a big office or anything fancy. Just some benches, some tools, and the smell of grease. It's honest work. The floor is cracked in a few places but it doesn't bother anyone. We keep busy enough with the local folks coming in. If you walk past the old post office you can't miss us. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s a bit loud when the machines are going, so we have to shout over each other. It’s not a quiet place to work. We just get on with things day by day. That's about it for us really. We usually close early on Saturdays if there's not much left to do.
