Sr.Draughtman

You can find us over at the Sainath Housing Society on Talwade Road in Pune. We’re tucked away in Rupinagar, specifically staying with Vittal Pawar. Sunita Suryakant Gholap is the one doing the work here as a Sr.Draughtman. It’s not a big corporate studio with expensive equipment or interns running around. It’s more of a personal space where we get the technical drawings and blueprints done. The society is a busy place, with plenty of families and noise around most of the time. We have our drafting tools and some old-school rulers along with the computer we use for the modern stuff. It’s a bit cramped with all the paper rolls standing in the corners, but we know where everything is kept. We don't go out looking for big fame or try to sound important to anyone. People who need detailed plans just find their way to us through friends. The commute on Talwade Road can be a real pain with all the heavy trucks, so staying here to work is much better for us. We drink a lot of tea while working on the finer details of a drawing. The walls are a bit bare, and the table wobbles if you don't prop it up with a bit of folded cardboard. But the drawings come out right, and that’s what matters. It’s just a regular life here in Pune, doing practical work for folks who need it.
