Space Touch Architects

You’ll find us on the second floor of Prasanna Vila, right at Hirabaug Chouk in Swargate. Being near Swargate means it’s always busy outside, which is quite different from the quiet we try to keep inside the office. We are Space Touch Architects, and this is where all the drawings and planning happen. The office has big windows, so we get a good view of the traffic below while we work. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor, but it’s good exercise, I suppose. We’ve got tables covered in blueprints and models sitting on most of the flat surfaces. It can look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. The team is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to drawing. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, and the chouk gets a lot quieter then. We don’t have a fancy reception area, just a desk near the door where we keep the mail and a few magazines. It’s a functional space. We’ve been in this building for some time now and like being so central. It makes it easy for us to get to different sites around the city when we need to. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing, one project at a time. It's a busy life but we enjoy it quite a bit.
