Space Decor

Our shop is right in the middle of Narayan Peth, which is always a bit of a squeeze if you’re driving. We are located at 630, right near Lokhande Talim. If you know Pune, you know this area is always buzzing with people and scooters. Inside Space Decor, it’s mostly just us surrounded by samples and catalogs. We do a lot of work with curtains, upholstery, and general home stuff. It’s a small place, so things tend to pile up on the tables. My day usually starts with checking on orders and making sure the tailors are on track. We don't really do the big corporate talk here. It’s more about sitting down with someone and figuring out if a certain fabric will actually last or if it’ll just look good for a week. Sometimes the power goes out or the delivery truck gets stuck in the narrow lanes outside, and we just have to deal with it. It’s a bit messy at times, especially when we have big rolls of cloth coming in. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit, so the neighbors know us. We try to keep things simple. You come in, look at some designs, and we see what fits. It’s a practical way of working. Most of our time is spent measuring things or calling up suppliers to see where our stuff is. It's just a regular local business doing its thing and trying to help people make their homes look a bit nicer.
