Sony Athorised Service Center

Our place is the Sony Athorised Service Center, located at 6265/5 in Chinchwad, Oshiwara. We are right across from the Gawade Petrol Pump, which is actually pretty helpful for giving people directions since everyone knows where that is. The smell of petrol sometimes wafts in when the wind blows the right way. It’s a busy area, and there’s always a line of cars and bikes waiting for fuel outside. Inside the center, things are usually a bit hectic. We have shelves lined with TVs waiting for parts and boxes of smaller electronics piled up near the back. The counter is usually covered in clipboards and repair slips. We try to keep things moving, but sometimes the parts take a while to arrive, and we have to explain that to frustrated customers. The waiting area has a few plastic chairs and an old magazine rack that nobody really looks at. The fluorescent lights overhead have a slight flicker that can be annoying if you think about it too much. We all wear these blue shirts, which get pretty dusty by the end of the shift. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at screens or soldering small components. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We usually eat our lunch in the small room at the back where the fridge makes a loud clunking sound every few minutes.
