Sonali Neon

We're back in the housing society behind K K Market in Bibwewadi. It’s a busy spot most days. We do neon signs and stuff like that in our little workshop. It's just us here at Sonali Neon. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, but we get the signs done eventually. It’s a small place, honestly. People usually find us because they know the market area well and just stumble upon us. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s not a fancy office, just a workspace where we bend glass and fix the lights. If you walk past Shivshankar Housing Society, you'll probably see us working with the blowtorches. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the tubes and the gas. The neon business is old school, but we like it. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot to work with the heat. Most of our tools have been with us for years and they still work fine. It's dusty sometimes, especially with the construction nearby. We just focus on getting the glow right for whatever sign comes in. Nothing too complicated, really. We just work with what we have here in the B/4/1/2 block. Sometimes the neighbors drop by for a chat while we're testing the transformers. It’s a local thing. We don't do much advertising, mostly just people seeing the signs we make and asking. That’s how we stay busy.
