The workshop is located over in Bhosari on Kashiben Nanubhai Patel Chawl Road. It is out on Road Number 4, specifically at number 46. If you know this part of the industrial area, you know it stays pretty loud and busy from morning until late at night. Here at Sona Okegawa Precision Forgings Ltd, we spend our shifts dealing with the heat and the heavy machines. It is not an easy job, but it is what we do every single day. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal dust or oil, and you can always hear the thudding of the forging equipment. We have been in this spot for a long time, watching the other factories around us change. The road outside gets quite muddy when it rains, making the commute a bit of a pain for the guys. Inside, the lights are bright and the fans are always spinning, though they don't do much against the heat from the furnaces. We just get on with the tasks, checking the parts and making sure the dimensions are right. It is a lot of manual work and paying attention to the metal. We don't have a big front office or anything stylish. It is just a place where work gets done. Most of us have been working together for years, so we just know the routine without having to talk much. It's a grit and sweat kind of life.
