Soma Nath

Our shop is down in the basement of Ashoka Mall, shop LG 10. It’s right across from the Sun and Sand building. Being in the basement means it stays a bit cooler than the upper floors, which is nice in the summer when the heat gets bad. It’s not the biggest space, but we make it work for Soma Nath. We have shelves lining the walls and a small counter where we sit. Most people who come in are looking for something specific. It can be a bit quiet down here sometimes, away from the main mall traffic on the ground floor. We don't mind it. It gives us time to get things organized or eat our lunch in peace. We've been here since the mall was much newer. The lighting isn't the best in the basement, but we've got enough lamps to see what we're doing. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our business comes from people who happen to be in the mall or those who have been coming to us for years. It’s a simple setup. We come in, open the gate, and stay until closing time. We don't try to be something we're not. It’s just a small shop in a basement trying to do right by the people who walk through the door. We keep it honest and direct. We keep a small radio behind the counter for background noise.
