Sohanmangal Foundation

Our foundation, Sohanmangal, is located right on Bibvewadi Road. We are inside Vasant Baug Society, specifically on the first floor in flat number three. It’s a familiar neighborhood for many people in Pune. We’ve set up our workspace here because it’s central and easy for us to get to. The office is basically a converted apartment, which makes it feel a bit more comfortable than a cold office block. We do a lot of foundation work from here, mostly dealing with community things. It’s a simple setup with a few tables and some storage for our documents. We aren't a big organization with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who care about the work. We usually start the morning with a quick chat about what needs to be done. Sometimes the noise from Bibvewadi Road gets a bit loud, especially with the traffic during rush hour, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend our time coordinating different activities and making sure our records are in order. It’s a lot of logistics and phone calls. We don’t have a big sign out front, just our name on the door. It’s a practical place for people who just want to work. We focus on getting things done without making a big fuss. That’s how we’ve always operated here at S.No.687/1. We keep a stack of old magazines in the corner for anyone who happens to be waiting.
