Our spot is in Yerwoda, Pune. The address is a bit of a mouthful—Moth It 1/Olkhnr Rho`/L Flupirrji, Pune 411035. It’s tucked away in a part of the city that is always moving. Pune has become such a tech hub, but our corner feels a bit more grounded. At Sofotel Software Services, we mainly deal with coding and software maintenance. The office is filled with the glow of monitors. We aren't big on interior design. We have mismatched chairs and a lot of tangled cables under the desks. It’s a real working environment. We spend a lot of time debugging and trying to figure out why a piece of software isn't doing what it's supposed to. We drink a lot of coffee and tea to stay sharp. The weather in Pune is usually nice, so we sometimes keep the windows open if it's not too dusty outside. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees. It's just a handful of us who know our way around a codebase. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the door rings, whoever is closest gets up to open it. It’s a very informal setup. We just care about getting the code right and making sure the servers stay up. It’s a quiet, busy life in Yerwoda. We just keep working through the tickets until the list is done.
