We are based at Tiwari Niwas, right near the Warje Jakat Naka in Karve Nagar. Our shop is where we handle all the sofa work, from fixing old frames to putting on new fabric. If you come by, you’ll see pieces of foam, rolls of cloth, and staples scattered around the workspace. We don’t have much room for anything other than the sofas we are currently working on. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, especially when a large sectional comes in for repair. We use a lot of glue and hammers, so there is always some smell or noise coming from our corner. My hands are usually pretty rough from pulling fabric tight all day and dealing with wooden frames. People bring in their old furniture that’s seen better days, and we just strip it down and start over from scratch. We don't really have a catalog; people just tell us what they want or show us a picture on their phone. The traffic around Jakat Naka is always a mess, so we hear a lot of horns honking while we work. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things lively during the afternoon slump. It’s just a small shop where we do everything by hand, one piece at a time. We don't have any sales staff, so when you walk in, you’re talking directly to the people who are actually doing the heavy lifting and sewing for your furniture.
