The office is down at Koyana Siding in Karad. It is more of a functional spot than a proper office since we are so close to the siding area. There is always noise from the trucks and the moving equipment, but it keeps us in the loop with what is happening. We have a small cabin setup with some basic furniture and a computer that is a bit slow. The dust is a constant battle here because of the heavy vehicles passing by all the time. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers and checking off lists of materials. It is a very hands-on kind of environment. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We usually eat our lunch together at the big table in the middle. The water here is okay, but we bring our own bottles mostly. Karad is a nice place, though the siding can be quite a rough area to work in during the monsoon when everything turns to mud. We spend a lot of time on the phone trying to coordinate between the different sites and the suppliers. It is simple work, really, just making sure everything gets where it needs to go without too much of a mess. We don't worry about being polished; we just worry about the daily schedule and making sure the logs are signed correctly.
