S.M.Auto Engg.Pvt.Ltd. is based out of Pimple Saudagar in Pune. We are in the Daffodills building, specifically A2, flat 306. It’s actually a residential building, so it doesn't feel like a cold corporate office. That’s the way we like it. Going up to the third floor is necessary to find us. Sometimes the elevator is slow, so we just take the stairs. Pimple Saudagar has grown a lot lately. There’s so much construction and new shops opening up everywhere. We’ve been here since before it got this crowded. Inside the flat, the rooms have been converted into workspaces. Computers and drawing boards are everywhere. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. A small kitchen area is where we make coffee. Usually, someone brings in snacks to share. No big sign is outside, just a small one by the door. Most of our work is technical, so we spend a lot of time looking at screens and blueprints. It’s quiet work for the most part. Sometimes we can hear the kids playing in the garden downstairs. This isn't a massive company. We just do our engineering work and stay out of the way. It’s a simple setup in a nice part of Pune.
