Our studio is tucked away in Parmar Complex, room 102/2, right behind the Punegate Restaurant on the Old Mumbai Pune Road in Nigdi. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but it is much quieter that way. We have a lot of backdrops and old props scattered around the room. There is always a camera sitting on a tripod somewhere, ready to go at a moment's notice. We spend a lot of time editing photos on the computer, which can be a bit hard on the eyes after several hours. Nigdi is a place we have known forever, and being in this complex feels like home to us now. The space is not huge, but we make it work for portraits and smaller shoots. We do not have a big sign outside, so most people find us by looking for the restaurant first. Sometimes the smell of food from downstairs drifts up into the studio, which makes us hungry while we work. The walls are covered in some of our favorite shots from over the years, mostly just local families and events. We do not go for a high-end corporate look here. We just want to capture things as they really are. The lighting in the studio can be a bit finicky, so we are always moving lamps around to get it right. It is a simple life, taking pictures and meeting people.
