Sj Forging

We are Sj Forging. Our place is at 40308, Pleasant Park in the Ramtekdi Industrial Estate. It's near Manik Baug on Sinhgad Road. Forging is hot work. We have the hammers and the furnaces. The area can get pretty loud when we are in the middle of a shift. Sinhgad Road is a long stretch of road. We've seen it change a lot over the years. Ramtekdi has a lot of industrial units like ours. Pleasant Park sounds like a residential name but it’s where we do our forging. We don't have a big reception area or a lobby. Just the workshop and a small space for the paperwork. We've got grease on our hands most of the time. It is just the way the work is. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out. That's frustrating but we get through it. We handle a lot of metal here. It's heavy and requires some muscle. We have a small group of guys who have been here for a long time. We know the machines well. If someone needs something forged, they come to Manik Baug to find us. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do the work and go home to our families. The industrial estate is a bit dusty. We keep our tools organized though. That's the main thing. It is a tough job but we like it here. We stay busy with the hammers and the heat.
