SIDDHANAGARI GARMENT AND TEXTILE FOUNDATION

Our space is tucked away inside the Arihant Complex over in Bhavani Peth. We use Shop No 2, but we also have parts of 162, 164, and 165 for storing our things and doing the daily work. Bhavani Peth is a crowded area with trucks and people moving rolls of cloth all day long. Finding a place to park a scooter can be a real struggle in the afternoons. Inside the foundation, we handle different kinds of garment materials and general textiles. We started this place to help manage how the work flows through this part of the city. There are stacks of fabric sitting in almost every corner. The tea guy usually comes by twice a day while we are busy sorting through the new orders. It is definitely not a quiet place to work. We keep the fans running all the time to deal with the heat. We don't have a fancy lobby or a big reception desk. It’s just some old desks, chairs, and a lot of stock. Most people who come in are regulars from the local market and we know most of them by name. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the garments that come through the door. It is hard work and the lighting in the back is a bit dim. We just keep moving through the tasks. Dealing with suppliers takes up our mornings. Then we try to clear out the shipping in the evening. It is just a normal day in the trade for us.
