About Shubhankar Enterprises – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Pune
In the Warje area, we occupy units 104 to 106. It’s a decent-sized space, though it feels smaller once you get all the supplies and equipment inside. Having three units next to each other means we’re constantly walking back and forth through the connecting doors. It’s a bit of a workout by the end of the shift. The floors are concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter, so most of us wear thick boots. We don't have much in the way of decoration; the walls are mostly just functional for hanging tools or calendars. There’s a small area where we keep the kettle and some biscuits, which is where most of our morning meetings happen, usually standing up. The noise from the other units in the building can be a lot sometimes, but we’ve all learned to talk over it. We deal with a lot of heavy stuff, so the place isn't exactly clean, but we try to keep the work areas clear enough to move. It’s a straightforward way of working, with no fancy offices or leather chairs. We show up, do the tasks that are lined up for the day, and then lock up the three doors before heading home. It’s a routine that’s worked for us for a long time now. We like being in Warje because it’s easy to get to, and we know all the neighbors who run the other units around us.
