If you go down to Shop No 9 in Dapodi, that’s where you’ll find us. Shubham Packer & Mover is a small operation. We don't have a fleet of a hundred trucks or anything like that. It’s just a simple shop where we keep our packing paper and boxes. Dapodi is a busy place and we mostly help the folks around here when they need to shift their belongings to a new place. I’ve spent many hours wrapping legs of tables and making sure glassware is tucked in tight so nothing breaks. It’s a lot of manual labor. You get used to the smell of cardboard after a while. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to worry about the rain hitting the mattresses, which is always a bit of a scramble. We don't use any fancy software to track things, just a notebook and some common sense. It’s the kind of business where you know your customers by face. We don't spend money on shiny advertisements. We just focus on getting the truck loaded and unloaded without any major disasters. It gets pretty exhausting when you have to carry a washing machine up three flights of stairs, but that is the job we chose. We just take it one box at a time and try to finish before it gets dark.
