Being in Sadashiv Peth means we are right in the middle of a very traditional and busy part of the city. Our distribution work involves a lot of moving boxes and keeping track of inventory in a relatively small space. The apartment building is a mix of residential and small businesses, so there’s always a bit of life around the corridors. We start early in the morning, usually before the traffic gets too bad, so we can organize the day’s deliveries. It’s a bit of a squeeze in the shop when a big shipment arrives, but we’ve gotten good at stacking things efficiently. We don’t have a fancy showroom because our focus is on getting goods from one place to another. Most of our interactions are with delivery drivers and local shop owners who need supplies. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we enjoy being in such a historic part of town.
