Shridatta Mudranalaya

Our small printing setup is right here at 47 Shivaji Hos. Soc. It’s a quiet residential area, which is nice for working without too much distraction. We started Shridatta Mudranalaya because we always had a thing for paper and ink. It’s not a huge factory or anything. Just a few machines and us making sure the lines are straight. We spend a lot of time looking at proofs and checking colors. Sometimes the machines act up, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a paper jam. That’s just how it goes with printing. Residents nearby know us as the place that’s always got a bit of a hum coming from the back. We do all sorts of jobs, from small cards to bigger stuff when people ask. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is near the press. We keep the place as clean as we can, though ink stains are hard to avoid on the floor. Being in Shivaji Hos. Soc. makes it easy for folks in the society to just walk over. We’ve been here for years, and most of our work comes from people we've known forever. It’s steady work. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just run the machines, pack the orders, and hope the electricity stays on all day so we can finish. We enjoy the smell of fresh paper.
