Shri Yash Spring Works

Our workshop is at Plot Number 1, beside the Priyadarshani area. Shri Yash Spring Works is exactly what the name says. We make springs. All kinds of them, big ones, tiny ones, some that are so stiff you can’t move them by hand and others that are like hair. It’s a weird thing to spend your life doing, I guess, but it’s what we know. The coiling machines take up most of the space on the floor, and they make a rhythmic clicking sound that you stop hearing after the first hour. We’re right at Sr. No. 45/2, and it’s a decent spot, though the dust from the road gets inside everything if we leave the big doors open. We don't have a big team, just a handful of us who know how to set the tensions and cut the wire. Sometimes the steel we get isn't quite right and we have to send it back, which slows everything down. We don’t have a lot of corporate rules here. We just work until the job is done. Lunch is usually eaten together on some crates in the back. It’s honest work, even if it’s repetitive. We get orders from all over, and it’s funny to think our springs end up in machines we’ll never see. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, someone just calls us up because they need a specific size and they heard we could make it. We just do our best to get it right.
