Even though the name mentions Ahmedabad, you will actually find us over at Queenies Duplex in the Salisbury Park area of Pune. It’s a bit of a funny thing that happens sometimes with business names. Our office here in Vidyasagar Colony is where we manage all the decorative veneer stuff. It’s a nice enough spot, located in a duplex which makes it feel a bit more like a home than a stiff office building. We have piles of veneer samples lying around everywhere. You can see different wood grains and colors stacked against the walls. We spend our time talking to people about what they need for their furniture or interiors. It is a lot of looking at textures and figuring out logistics. Pune is a busy place, but our little corner in Salisbury Park stays relatively calm. We don’t have a massive showroom with bright lights. Most of our work is done on the phone or through sketches and small wood pieces we show to visitors. It’s just a handful of us working here. We get the work done without much fuss. Sometimes the commute through Pune traffic is the hardest part of the day.
