Shree Vishwas Kamal Hanmant Salunkhe Social Foundation

We are located over at SN/52/910 in the Sai Ratna building. It is right opposite the Dilliwala Gotha in the Ambegaon Budruk area of Pune. It’s a bit of a dusty spot sometimes with all the traffic and the local shops nearby. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy reception area. It is just a small room where we get together to work on social stuff. Pune is growing so fast, and places like Ambegaon are changing every day. We just wanted to make sure there was a local foundation that actually understood the people living here. Most of us live within walking distance of the office. We are not trying to be some massive organization. We just handle things as they come up. Sometimes the office is a bit of a mess with files and old newspapers, but that’s because we are actually busy doing things instead of cleaning up for show. We talk to the people who live in the nearby buildings and try to be helpful. It’s not complicated. We aren't here to make a profit or get famous. We just saw some gaps in the community and figured we could try to fill them. It’s a very local, very plain operation, and we are okay with that. It feels more real doing it this way.
