Shree Kitchen

Shree Kitchen is tucked away in the Jairaj Complex on D.R Road. We are quite close to Navle Hospital, which is how most people describe our location. We started this kitchen because we love cooking and wanted to share our food with the people living and working around here. It’s a busy little place, especially around lunchtime when the workers come in. We have a small kitchen area where we prep everything fresh every morning. You can hear the pans clanking and smell the spices from the hallway. We don't have a massive menu, just the things we know how to make well. The space is S 50/ 22 and 23, so it’s two small units joined together to give us enough room for the stoves and a few tables. We aren't a big restaurant with waiters in uniforms. It’s mostly us serving the plates and making sure everyone has enough to eat. Sometimes we run out of certain items early if it's a busy day. We try to keep the prices reasonable so regular people can eat here every day if they want. The floor gets a bit messy during the rush but we clean it up as soon as it gets quiet. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and heat from the burners, but we like the work. Being near the hospital means we see a lot of families who are just looking for a simple meal.
