Our office is located at 39 Vishwamitry Society in Jivraj Park, Ahmedabad. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s a little quieter than being right on a main highway, but we still keep very busy. We have been working out of this spot for quite some time now. The heat in Ahmedabad can be really something in the summer, so we usually have the fans going full blast in the office while we sort through the manifests. We handle a lot of different types of cargo. Some days it is small stuff, and other days it is big loads that take a lot of planning. We sit around the main table and figure out the best way to get things moved. There is no corporate ladder here; we all just pitch in where it’s needed. Sometimes the society neighbors come by to chat while we are loading up. It feels like a local community business. We keep our records in thick binders and on the computer. It’s a bit of a mix of old and new ways of doing things. The building itself is nothing special, just a solid place to run a transport company. We don't spend money on decorations or fancy office furniture because we’d rather focus on the work itself. It’s about getting the trucks out and making sure the goods arrive where they are supposed to go without any trouble.
