Shree Balaji Garage

We've been at 137 Katraj Makarpura Road for quite a while now. Most days it’s just us fixing whatever comes through the door. It gets greasy and loud, especially in the afternoons when everyone wants their car back. We started small, just a couple of tools and a lot of work. People around here know where we are because of the big sign that’s a bit faded now. Sometimes things get busy and there's a line, but we just keep working through the pile. It isn't a fancy place with a waiting room or coffee, just a garage where we get our hands dirty. We see all kinds of vehicles, from old bikes to newer cars that have some engine trouble. It’s mostly just mechanical stuff and oil changes. We don’t talk much, just get to the task. The road outside can get pretty dusty. We open early most mornings before the traffic starts picking up on Makarpura Road. Sometimes the parts take a day or two to arrive, so things sit for a bit. We try to keep things organized but a garage is a garage, things end up where they end up. If you pass by number 137, you’ll see us there. It’s a simple setup we’ve got going. Not much has changed over the years, same walls, same floor. We just keep the doors open and do what needs doing for whoever drops by.
