We are based out in Rajgurunagar, in the Khed area of Pune district. It’s a bit away from the main city hub but there is plenty of work to do here. Construction is what we know. We handle the tools and the materials to get structures standing. Most of us grew up around here or in nearby villages. It’s a practical business. We don't have a fancy website or anything, just our site office and the projects we work on. Sometimes it's houses, sometimes it's bigger sheds or walls. We spend most of our time out in the sun at the sites. The dust gets everywhere. We have to keep track of the labor and make sure the materials arrive on time. It’s a lot of juggling. Khed is growing and you see new things popping up all the time. We’ve seen the landscape change quite a bit since we started. It’s not easy work, your back hurts at the end of the day, but seeing a finished building is okay. We don't promise anything life-changing, we just build what is asked of us. The weather plays a big part in how fast we can work. During the monsoons, everything slows down and we mostly do indoor stuff or planning. We are just a local crew doing construction work for people in the district. It’s how it is. We deal with the building inspectors and the heavy machinery every day. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done and keeps us busy throughout the year.
