Shivdharma Social Foundation

We are located out in Phursungi at Shivdharma Social Foundation. Our office is actually part of Uttam Gulab Kamthe’s house, number 276 in Kamthe Ali. If you head down Survey Number 131, you will find us. Phursungi has changed a lot lately with the city expanding, but Kamthe Ali still feels like a traditional village area. The roads are narrow, and you often see tractors or cows blocking the way. Our space is very basic. It’s just a room where we keep our records and meet people who come by for help. It’s quiet compared to the main city, which we like. Most of the people working here are locals who have lived in Phursungi their whole lives. We don't have a fancy sign or a reception area. People just knock on the door and come in. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers and laborers who live around here. There is always some social issue or a local problem that needs attention. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule. Sometimes we are working late into the evening, and other times the office is empty because we are out in the village. It’s a very personal way of doing things. We know everyone’s name and their family history. It’s not about being a big organization; it’s about being part of the community and doing what we can with the little we have.
