The shop here at Pimpri 16 is usually covered in a bit of dust and grease, which is just how things go when you deal with spare parts all day. Shiv Santosh Auto Parts has been in this spot for a while now. We spend most of our time looking through catalogs or climbing up the back ladder to find some specific bolt or gasket someone needs for their bike or car. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and sometimes it takes a minute to locate the exact thing. It gets noisy outside with all the traffic, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of metal clicking or the fan spinning overhead. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a counter, some stools, and a lot of boxes. Most people who stop by are locals who know where we are. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the afternoon rush to settle down. The floor needs a sweep pretty often because of the boots coming in and out, but we get to it when there is a gap in the day. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, honestly. Pimpri 16 isn't the quietest area, but it feels like home to us after so many years. We keep the doors open until late evening most days. There isn't much to say other than we stay busy with the stock.
