Shiningyouth Welfare Foundation is over on Plot No 140/52 in Lokasha Nagar. Parbhani is where we all grew up, so it made sense to start things here. The office is part of a residential area, so it’s pretty laid back most of the time. We don’t have a big sign or anything fancy, just the address on the gate. Maharashtra is big, but Parbhani has its own unique feel that we really like. We spend a lot of time talking to the young people in the neighborhood. There isn't always a lot for them to do, so we try to provide some direction when they ask for it. It’s mostly just a few desks and a bunch of chairs for when people come over to talk. We aren't some big national charity with millions of rupees. We’re just local folks using our own time to make things better. The heat in Parbhani can be tough in the summer, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. Lokasha Nagar is a decent place to work from. We know most of the people on our street and say hello every morning. It is not about being famous or having a big name. It is just about being there for the kids who need a bit of a boost. We take it one day at a time and don’t worry too much about the corporate side of things. It’s honest work and we like doing it right here.
