Our office is tucked away in Devadattkrupa Society, which is on DP Road in Karve Nagar. It’s a local neighborhood, not a big commercial hub, which we actually prefer. We are near Sheth House, so that helps people find us among the different buildings here. This part of Karve Nagar and Hingne Budrukh has a lot of residential stuff going on, so we feel right at home. As building contractors, our days are rarely spent just sitting behind a desk. Usually, there’s a lot of coming and going, checking on materials, and talking to the crew. The office is where we keep the records and meet with people to go over the details of their construction. It’s a practical space. We don’t have fancy furniture or a lot of decorations. There are usually some blueprints and measuring tapes lying around. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We know a lot of the folks living in the society and around DP Road. It’s the kind of place where you can just stop by and have a glass of water while we talk about your house or whatever you are building. We’ve been working in Pune for a long time and we understand how the weather and the local rules work. We just show up every morning and get to work on the projects we have on hand. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know how to do. There is always something that needs fixing or building.
