Shikshapankh Welfare Foundation

Our office is in the D Wing of the Nandalal Building, room 405. We are over in Vetalbuva Chowk, which is part of the Vrundavan Srushti area in Narhe. Pune has been our home for a long time. Shikshapankh Welfare Foundation is just a small group of us trying to help out where we can. Narhe is a bit on the edge of the main city, so it has its own pace. We like being here because it feels real and not too polished. The building isn't anything special, just a standard block where we have set up our workspace. We spend our mornings sorting through requests and our afternoons out in the field. It is a lot of legwork. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just look at what is needed and see if we can help. Being at Vetalbuva Chowk makes it easy for people to find us. There are a lot of students and young families around here, which keeps us busy. Sometimes the office gets messy with files and flyers, but that is just how it goes when you’re busy. We are not trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to get the work done and go home to our families at night. It is a simple setup for a simple purpose. We have been at this for a while now and the Nandalal Building feels like the right place for us.
