Out here in Shembal Pimpri, things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. We are set up at Atul Omprakash Dhoot’s place, right along the way to Pusad in Yavatmal. Being part of Shembal Pimpri Multipurpose Nidhi Limited means we handle a bit of everything for the people around here. The office isn't anything special to look at; it’s just a room with enough chairs for whoever stops by to talk. We spend a lot of time looking out at the road and waiting for the mail to arrive. The dust from the Yavatmal roads tends to settle on everything, so we are always wiping down the tables. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We know most of the people who come in by their first names, and we usually know what they need before they even sit down. There’s no corporate talk here, just plain conversation about what needs to be done with the accounts. We have a small cupboard where we keep all the records, and it’s getting a bit crowded these days. The 445209 area is a tight-knit community, and we are just a small part of it. We don't have a big website or a call center. If someone wants to talk to us, they just come to the office and we sit down and figure it out together over a glass of water and some talk.
