Shashivinayak Foundation

We set up Shashivinayak Foundation in Office number 3 at Continental Chambers. It’s right in the heart of Pune City. Being in Pune means things are always moving, and we try to keep up. Our office isn't very big, just a couple of rooms where we handle our foundation business. We don’t do the whole corporate thing with suits and long meetings. Most of the time, we’re just in our everyday clothes, looking through applications or talking to people from the city who need some support. Continental Chambers is an older building, so it has some character. We’ve got a lot of files piled up because we prefer keeping hard copies of everything. It makes us feel like the work is real. We don’t spend much on advertising or anything like that. People usually hear about us through word of mouth in the local area. We just try to be useful. If someone walks in with a question, we do our best to answer it. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up. We keep the kettle going for most of the day because we like our tea. It’s a simple life here in the office. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just doing our little bit for the people in Pune. Some days are long, but that’s just how it goes when you’re running a foundation. We usually lock up around six and head home through the Pune traffic.
