Balaji Cards & Paper Centre is located in the Harihareshwar Apartment at 476 Shanivar Peth. If you’ve ever walked through the lanes of Shanivar Peth, you know how crowded and full of old buildings it is. Our shop is one of those places that feels like it’s been here forever. We have stacks of wedding cards, envelopes, and different types of paper piled up to the ceiling. The smell of fresh paper and printing ink is the first thing you notice when you walk inside. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze because we try to keep a lot of variety for people to choose from. We spend our days helping people pick out the right shade of card or the right texture of paper for their needs. It’s not a high-end boutique; it’s a practical shop where the prices are fair and the talk is straightforward. Sometimes we have to move stacks of boxes just to find one specific sample a customer wants to see. The stairs leading up are a bit old, and the apartment building has that classic Pune feel. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoons. It’s a simple life of dealing with paper and ink, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
