Shailesh Art Print

We've been at 136 Narayan Peth for a long time now. Most people around here know where we are. It’s a busy spot, but we like it. The shop is full of paper and the smell of ink most days. We do a lot of different print jobs. Sometimes it’s just a small stack of business cards, other times it’s bigger projects that take a few days to get right. My desk is usually covered in proofs. Shailesh Art Print isn't a fancy place. We have our machines running and someone is usually making tea in the back. Customers just walk in through the front door. We talk about what they need, look at some paper samples, and get to work. It gets loud when the presses are going. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit. That's just how it is. We try to keep things moving. There is a lot of folding and cutting involved in what we do. It takes patience to make sure everything looks straight. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. If you come by, you'll probably see us sorting through finished stacks or checking the colors on a new run. It's steady work. We stay busy. Narayan Peth has changed over the years, but we’re still right here in the same spot, doing what we know how to do. It’s a lot of work but we keep going.
