Sayukt Art Of Fashion Technology is located right by the Mumbai Bangalore highway in Warje Malwadi. You can hear the big trucks and cars passing by all the time from our spot at Sr no 133. It’s a busy part of Pune - 411058, that’s for sure. Inside, it’s a different kind of busy. We have sewing machines and long tables where we layout the fabric. There are threads of all colors everywhere you look. Sometimes the floor is covered in small scraps of cloth by the end of the day. It’s a place where people learn and work with their hands. We aren’t big on fancy office stuff. Our machines are the most important things here. We spend a lot of time teaching how to get the stitching right or how to cut the material properly. It takes patience. The light comes in through the front windows, which is nice in the mornings. We usually have a few tea breaks to keep us going. It’s not a quiet place, between the highway noise and the hum of the machines. But we like it that way. It feels like things are being made. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If you walk in, you’ll just see us working. We’ve been here in Warje for a while, and we’ve seen the highway get busier every year. It’s just a normal day of fashion and fabric for us.
