Savli Seva Foundation. Located at Sadanand Apartment near Bhabha Hospital in Shivajinagar. It's a busy area with a lot of traffic. People are always rushing to the hospital. We’re right there in flat number seven. It’s a modest space but it serves its purpose. We see all kinds of folks coming through. Some are tired, some are worried about family members in the hospital. We try to be a bit of a quiet spot for them. Shivajinagar is always loud, so having a place to sit for a minute helps. We don’t have a huge staff or anything fancy. It’s just us. We deal with whatever comes through the door. Sometimes it’s just helping someone find their way or providing a bit of support when things are tough. The building is older, so the lift is a bit slow. But we've been here a while now. Most people in the locality know where to find us. We don't go around advertising what we do. It’s just about being there when people need a hand. The tea stall downstairs is where we usually catch up on the local news. Life is complicated enough for people, so we don't try to add to it. We just keep the door open and do what we can with what we have on hand. It's not about being a big organization, just about being helpful neighbors to those passing by.
