If you are driving down Ali Fixtain Road, you might see Kohinoor Plaza. We are right there on the ground floor at Shop No 35. This area of Khadki Raikhad, around Survey No 82, is always packed with cars and bikes. Our shelves are full of all kinds of parts—nuts, bolts, cables, and things for engines. It is a bit cramped inside because we try to keep as much as we can in stock. Usually, there is a bit of grease on the counter because people bring in their old parts to show us what they need. We don't do the repairs ourselves, we just provide the spares. My brother and I run the place. Sometimes it takes a bit of digging to find a specific part for an older model, but we usually find it eventually. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. It is a noisy street, lots of honking and people shouting, but that's just the Khadki life. We open early because the mechanics start their work then. It is a simple shop. No air conditioning, just a big fan on the ceiling that squeaks a bit. We just keep things moving, making sure people get the right part so they can get back on the road. Kohinoor Plaza is a landmark, so we are easy to spot once you get close. We've been here for a long time and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit.
