Sana Paints

Sana Paints is tucked away in the MCM Complex, specifically Shop No 6. We are over in Raviwar Peth, which is usually a pretty crowded part of the city. If you’re coming from Rachana toward the Spining Mill Road, you’ll see the Vadwala Society area where we are located. It’s a typical paint shop setup where the walls are lined with rows and rows of cans. The smell of fresh paint and thinners is always in the air here. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop sometimes when we get new stock delivered and have to stack the buckets. We spend most of the morning opening up the shutters and dusting off the counters. Customers come in with all sorts of requests, sometimes carrying a small piece of wood or a scrap of fabric trying to match a color. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us handling the counter and the mixing. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people moving around the Raviwar Peth markets. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the fan running full blast. Dealing with paint is a messy business, and by the end of the day, there’s usually some smudge of color on our clothes or hands. We just handle the daily walk-ins and the regular contractors who’ve been coming to this complex for years. It’s just a local shop doing its thing.
