Samrat Motors

We are located over at Hingane Khurd on the Sinhgad Road side, but we have roots in the Camp and East Street area too. It’s a bit of a distance between the two, but we’ve been working around here for a long time. The shop is usually full of vehicles in various states of being fixed. There is always a smell of petrol and old engine oil hanging in the air. We don't have fancy waiting rooms or anything like that. Usually, people just stand around and talk while we look under the hood. The tools are scattered on the benches, and there’s always a radio playing somewhere in the back. Sinhgad Road gets really backed up in the evenings, so we see a lot of people stuck in traffic while we’re finishing up our work for the day. It’s a hands-on kind of life. My hands are almost always black from the grease, no matter how much I scrub them at night. We get all sorts of cars coming through, some that have seen better days and some that are nearly new. Every day is a bit different depending on what breaks down or who needs a quick fix. We just take it as it comes. It’s steady work, and we know most of the people who live around this part of the city. We’re just a local garage trying to keep things moving for everyone. It is what we know how to do best.
